HOW IT WORKS
Mediatrad is a web-based CAT (Computer Aided Translation) application for producing localized versions of a Adobe® InDesign® document, with the possibility to create and maintain a database (Translation Memory) to accelerate the translation.

Automatic recognition of numbers,
symbols, catalogue numbers.
DTP documents (for example catalogues) may contain many expressions, symbols, reference numbers etc., which should not be translated. Automatic recognition of these reduces the translation volume and time.
Instant preview of translated pages
When you save your translation the target page is generated online.
Word/symbol count
Mediatrad counts words and symbols.
Use of the Translation Memory
Propagation, exact matching, fuzzy matching (Show/suggestions). Translations will be reused where appropriate.

Create a new lingual version of your document in 3 easy steps:
- Download the original (initial) InDesign® file. MediaTrad interprets the file, extracts the text and presents it in an easy to translate form.
- Translate and save each text segment. The standard CAT features, like translation propagation, fuzzy and exact matching) are available. The layout of the document is preserved. A preview of the source and target file is supplied. Thanks to a web interface, your document can be made available everywhere in the world. A powerful search/replace engine can help with corrections.
- Generate the translated document for verification and acceptation. If necessary, step 2 can be repeated. Generate and download the final version of the translated InDesign® document.
Ease of use: MediaTrad’s modern web interface is designed to be intuitive, ergonomic and user friendly. Users do not need any training or instructions to start working with MediaTrad.
